In pneumatic actuators, over time, the pistons' o-rings harden and the balance pads wear. This may cause air leaks and loss of power. In some cases, they do not open fully or do not work at all. Likewise, the gear drive shaft and o-rings that move the pistons may wear out over time and become dysfunctional. In this case, repairs are required.
In our repairs, we first perform on-off tests and air leakage tests. Then, we conduct due diligence, identify the parts that need to be repaired or renewed, and prepare a report. We completely disassemble the actuators and examine all parts and repair kits in detail. After the internal and external cleaning processes, we completely renew the O-rings on the piston backs, bearing pads, shaft bearing bushings and repair kits. After assembling the new parts, we lubricate them with special grease that is resistant up to 300°C. Finally, we confirm the accuracy of the process by closing the covers and performing on-off and air leakage tests again.
Pneumatic actuators generally operate with 4/5.5 bar air pressure. However, we carry out our tests with 8 bar air pressure. In these tests, in addition to 100% on-off operations, we also measure the torque return power at 5 bar air pressure. After successfully completing other tests as well as torque value measurements appropriate to the size of the actuator, we prepare a repair test report that includes the repair process, replaced parts and operations performed in detail. This report includes the actuator's initial status, operations performed, parts replaced, and final status values. In addition, a repair test certificate containing data obtained from leakage air tightness tests and opening, closing and torque tests is issued and delivered to you.
